Newcastle United must sweat over the idea of facing Arsenal midfielder Denis Suarez after Unai Emery hinted he may hand the 25-year-old his first start for the club.

The Gunners boss revealed in his press conference on Friday that he now considered Suarez ready to start a match for his side after previously only opting to use him from the bench.

“He is OK for starting in the first eleven, to give us this impact,” Emery said, as transcribed by the Daily Mail.

“I think now our focus is collectively a very strong focus to help, in 90 minutes, 30 minutes or one minute.

“We are going to need everybody, every player for the next matches.”

Suarez joined from Barcelona on loan in January but has only played 67 minutes of Premier League action across four outings, with Emery not being willing to throw him in the deep end.

Therefore it says so much that the experienced manager is now ready to unleash the 25-year-old into his team, as that shows he has proven his quality.

Suarez featured for the Gunners during a friendly in Dubai that took place in the recent international break and looked to be a threat for his side as they went on to beat Al Nasr 3-2.

While the 25-year-old may have struggled to make a huge impact at the Gunners in a competitive game as of yet, he’s only shown glimpses, if unleashed from the start of a clash that could change.

Suarez could be a potential game changer for the Gunners as Rafa Benitez will perhaps be taken by surprise if he starts the match with the Magpies ,and due to the fact he will be chomping at the bit.

The Spanish midfielder has likely been frustrated over how his loan spell at the Gunners has been going and will no doubt play like a man possessed in order to ensure he’s given more chances.

When you consider that Suarez did manage to make 71 appearances for a team like Barcelona, even if a lot of them were cameo outings, it is an indication of his talent.

So the Magpies have to sweat over facing the Arsenal 25-year-old as a result, as he does have the skills to be a potential X factor for his side.
