Many Newcastle United fans will collectively groan as reportedly Arsenal are hopeful that Aaron Ramsey will be fit enough to face the Magpies.

The London Evening Standard report that the Gunners midfielder will be assessed ahead of facing Rafa Benitez’s side after he withdrew from Wales duty due to a thigh injury.

The London club are likely sweating, even if they’re hopeful, over whether Ramsey will be fit as they know their task to overcome the Magpies will be much easier with him to call upon.

However they’re probably not alone in sweating over the 28-year-old fitness as the Magpies are no doubt perspiring just as much following this update, as there’s chance they may have to face him.

Rafa Benitez is no doubt aware that Ramsey is a potential danger man for Arsenal and his side would have a much easier time if they didn’t have to contend with the midfielder.

Ramsey may not be a guaranteed starter at the Gunners this season but he has still dazzled in a lot of his outings when called upon.

The 28-year-old dazzler has been involved in getting his side 12 goals this season, scoring four while creating eight, and he is more than capable of being a match winner for his side.

Ramsey has a fantastic passing range which sees him able to carve out chances and is more than capable of getting himself on the score sheet.

Also after frustratingly having to pull out of international duty due to an injury, Ramsey will be eager to get over that set-back by wowing in his next game for Arsenal and that could come at the Magpies’ expense.

Therefore surely the Magpies are sweating nearly as much as the Gunners over the reported injury update on Ramsey as it would benefit them if he missed the clash.
