are thought to be keen to sign Newcastle United’s on- Dwight Gayle this summer if they achieve promotion, according to the Birmingham Mail.

The newspaper claims that the 28-year-old has been one of West Brom’s standout performers this season and as such they would be interested in bringing him back on a permanent basis if they end up securing promotion to the .

However, a decision will only be made on the Englishman’s future once Darren Moore’s side know what division they will be playing in next time round.

Gayle has excelled yet again in the this term, bagging 16 goals and seven assists in 29 games in all competitions.

This comes as no surprise, really. Gayle has been excellent once again in the Championship, as he always is, but he never seems to have quite the same level of success at Premier League level.
