Newcastle United scouts jetted out to watch Real Madrid’s match with Celta Vigo, according to reliable source Scouts in Attendance.
The Magpies reportedly sent a member of staff to watch the La Liga clash on Saturday afternoon, which Los Blancos won 2-0.
While there are no guarantees as to who they were watching, Scouts in Attendance do make reference to 25-year-old midfielder Okay Yukuslu and 24-year-old winger Pione Sisto.
The Turkish midfielder completed 75 minutes, while Ugandan winger Sisto played the full 90.

OPINION
While a report of a scout attending a match doesn’t always mean anything, it will certainly come as a promising sign for Newcastle fans that the club are sending their network out to look at any players at all. There has been a long period where the Magpies have been viewed as something of damp squib in the transfer market, but with the arrival of Miguel Almiron in the January window, and with the hopes of signing Salomon Rondon on a permanent deal in the summer, things could be looking up on Tyneside. As for scouting two Celta Vigo players, the Spanish side look to be in real danger of going down this season. They have a decent squad with some real bright sparks in there, and while it is not working for them at the moment, there is some genuinely impressive individual talent amongst their ranks. Expect something of a fire sale if they can’t avoid the drop, and hopefully Newcastle will be somewhere near the front of the queue.
