Some Newcastle United fans expressed their concern for Fabian Schar after he took an almighty whack during Switzerland’s 2-0 win over Georgia. The 27-year-old centre-back appeared to be completely knocked out after clashing heads with Jemal Tabidze but amazingly despite lengthy treatment was deemed able to continue. Schar ended up wowing during the match as he played his part at the back as well as going forward, by helping creating the goals, but it’s easy to see why Magpies supporters were still worried about their defender. The centre-back ended up posting a celebratory post on his personal Twitter to celebrate Switzerland’s latest win and the majority of responses were worried Magpies fans. Given that Schar continued and didn’t reference the moment on his social media accounts, you feel the scary moment hasn’t caused any damage. However you do wonder why Schar was allowed to continue as given the serious nature of head injuries, he should have been brought off.
