Newcastle United are set to face an Arsenal side who have received a triple first team boost ahead of their clash on Monday night, according to the Mirror.

The newspaper claim that the Gunners are set to be relieved after fears involving the likes of Sead Kolasinac, Aaron Ramsey and Sokratis, all of which missed games over the international break.

However, despite their worrying absences from their country’s fixtures it is stated that Arsenal boss Unai Emery is set to be able to call on all three of them for when the Magpies head down to north London in their return to league action.

Opinion

Newcastle need every bit of help they can get to try and snatch three points away from Arsenal in their Monday night clash and to have seen the likes of Kolasinac and Ramsey miss out while on international duty would have given them a little bit more hope. The Gunners are something of a bogey team for the Magpies in recent years, with Rafael Benitez’s side picking up just one win against the north Londoners since 2010. That came last season, Ayoze Perez and Matt Ritchie scoring the all important goals at St James’ Park and the duo are likely to start again on their trip to the Emirates Stadium. Still, the odds are stacked against the north east outfit and with the likes of Ramsey – a player the Newcastle faithful could only dream of having at their disposal – seemingly likely to play some part, their chances are not getting any better.
