Newcastle United wing back DeAndre Yedlin didn’t have the finest of first half’s in his team’s clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday night. The United States of America international has had a pretty sub-par season and that continued in the opening period at Molineux. He doesn’t seem able to pressure players properly, he gives them far too much time and is beaten too regularly for someone with his blistering pace. There is talent there, but it’s just not been happening for him this campaign. He was given a torrid time by Diogo Jota and co. in the first half here. The Portuguese is incredibly difficult to deal with, to be fair, but Yedlin really didn’t do a good job. He struggled to get much going when attacking the hosts either. His passing was wayward and, like his team mates, he couldn’t do much to put Wolves under pressure. Hopefully he improves after the break because he’s looked like a bit of a liability so far.
