Newcastle United are reportedly interested in a loan deal for Everton winger Yannick Bolasie before the January deadline.
With just four days left in the window the Magpies are scrambling to bring in a couple of new faces, with Rafa Benitez yet to be delivered a single target this month.
The Spaniard is targeting reinforcements in both defence and attack, and Bolasie is obviously a player who interests him after his early return from a loan spell at Aston Villa.
Newcastle have now received a big boost to their hopes of signing Bolasie in the coming days, with the Mirror reporting that the 29-year-old dazzler has demanded a Premier League move.
The newspaper claim that Toffees boss Marco Silva has told the player he has no future at Goodison Park, with Bolasie now on the hunt for a switch to a top-flight rival.
The fact that Bolasie has made his intentions clear to Everton means that Newcastle are now in with a real chance of nabbing the winger on loan this month.
All they need to do now is make a formal approach for the DR Congo international, who would surely be keen on a move to Tyneside to work under Benitez.
Everton would also likely be ready to green-light such a deal, with Newcastle not really a direct rival in the Premier League this season.
Such a move obviously carries risk, with Bolasie still not having found his best form since a serious knee injury, but it is definitely worth a punt at this point in the window.
