OPINION
Newcastle United travel to Ewood Park to take on Blackburn Rovers in an FA Cup third round replay on Tuesday night, and Rafa Benitez is expected to make several changes to his starting XI. The cup competitions are not particularly a priority for Benitez and the Magpies this season, and there are expected to be a few fringe players given a chance to shine against the Championship side. One big surprise is the inclusion of youngster Callum Roberts in the squad [Chronicle], with the 21-year-old winger having made just one first-team appearance for the club, which came back in 2015. The tricky speedster may not start for the Magpies but is surely set to feature in some capacity, and Newcastle fans are delighted with his inclusion. There are very few Newcastle youngsters coming through the academy into the first-team these days, and there are obviously high hopes for Roberts to be the next to achieve that.

Big chance for Callum Roberts to play today. Looking forward to seeing him in action. Not sure what's lacking for him, he's the same age as Longstaff. But not the same level of experience going on loans and etc, and maybe that's been a drawback. A now or never moment? #NUFC

About time. Pace and direct! Sometimes we need that spark where no-one has a clue what he's going to do. Would rather see him come on than Murphy or Joselu
