If you had to predict a player that Newcastle United fans would be unhappy with upon seeing the starting line-up for Saturday’s clash, you would have guessed Javier Manquillo. While the 24-year-old did put in one magical looking cross that Matt Ritchie didn’t convert, it didn’t see fans be anymore impressed with his performance than usual. It may not have helped that West Ham won 3-0 on Saturday as fans were looking for players to blame, but the defender wasn’t overly great. Hopefully Manquillo, who doesn’t often get to play, quickly loses his first-team spot as he did look like a potential weak point for the Hammers to expose. Although it did seem harsh that one fan described his display as horrific as several players struggled. You feel Manquillo felt the majority of supporters criticism due to never looking good when featuring for the club, with this being made painfully obvious by the fact one supporter described him as one of the worst to ever feature for the side.
