PSG have decided against allowing Newcastle United target Stanley N’Soki to leave the club on loan in January, according to Buzzsport.fr.

The 19-year-old academy graduate has attracted widespread interest in his services since making his first team breakthrough, and it was widely believed that a temporary move away would be sanctioned this winter.

The French champions have now decided against letting him go out on loan, however, and it is expected that he will continue his development in Paris.

The French U21 international has made 10 appearances in all competitions so far this campaign, and laid on two assists in the domestic curtain raiser, the Trophee des Champions.

OPINION

Rafa Benitez has made no secret of how desperate he is to bring a left-back t provide cover and competition for Paul Dummett, and N’Soki would have been a massive coup if the Magpies were able to lure him to Tyneside. The prodigy has featured regularly for PSG so far this season and has bags of potential, so it’s no wonder that the French champions have decided against allowing him to go out on loan. No doubt he would have been given plenty of opportunity to grow and develop with the Toon Army in the second half of this season, but the prospect of bringing him in for a relegation dogfight always seemed slim when he is clearly so highly thought of by his parent club. Benitez will still be looking to bring in defensive reinforcements, but chances are that he may have to aim his sights just a little lower.
