Many Newcastle United fans couldn’t help but drool over the display of goalkeeper Martin Dubravka against Everton on Wednesday and it was easy to why. The 29-year-old goalkeeper made several important saves during the clash against the Toffees with one he made to deny attacker Cenk Tosun scoring from three-yards out being particularly praised. Dubravka has excelled at St James Park ever since arriving at the club last January and it’s no surprise one fan claimed he was the best thing to ever happen to the Magpies this season, pending a takeover in the near future. Hopefully the Magpies are able to hold on to the shot-stopper as long as possible as given that fans are justified calling him the best keeper in the Premier League, it means so-called perceived bigger sides in the division may try to sign him. Yet until one starts circling, and one will, fans perhaps shouldn’t worry themselves and just bask in the keeper’s glory. The 29-year-old played a key part in the Magpies achieving a 1-1 draw with Everton on Wednesday.
