Some Newcastle United fans on social media heaped praise on Kenedy after watching his performance in the 2-1 victory over Bournemouth on Saturday.

The 22-year-old started the Magpies’ clash with the Cherries and had a section of fans gushing about him practically as soon as the game got underway.

Several Magpies fans were in awe of the cross he made to help Salomon Rondon score his second in the match, while one believed Kenedy was causing absolute havoc for his opponents down the left.

COMMENTARY

Kenedy has been a controversial figure at St James Park this season as he has looked a shadow of the player he was in the second half of the 2017/18 campaign. However as one fan rightly tweeted the Brazilian looked alive again on Saturday. The 22-year-old winger looked highly-motivated and full of energy as he worked hard to make sure his side secured a positive result against the Cherries. Kenedy was constantly finding the ball at his feet and was carving out pieces of magic when in possession. The winger beautifully crossed in the ball for Rondon’s second goal in the first-half and had one fan compare him to David Ginola. If Kenedy can keep replicating moments that have fans remembering that former Magpies favourite then his season is about to take off in a very positive way. The 22-year-old is clearly capable of submitting match-winning performances, he just needs to do it on a regular basis now.
