Newcastle winger Rolando Aarons must jump at the chance to exit the club even if the only reportedly interested party ends up being a side in Bulgaria.

The Magpies are open to loaning 22-year-old speedster with a unnamed Bulgarian club understood to be keen on his services, as reported by The Chronicle, and given his lack of viable options Aarons should be jumping at any potential move that sees him exit.

The winger who previously burst on to the scene at St James Park, impressing everyone with his tricky fee and blistering pace, has seen his progress stall in the last couple of season.

Aarons had a very disappointing loan spell in Italy with Hellas Verona last season and looked nowhere near being the player the Magpies previously hoped he would be.

The 22-year-old’s recent awful loan spell was reflected by his chances of featuring for Rafa Benitez’s side this season as the managerial genius opted to omit him from his 25-man squad, as stated by the Chronicle, which means the only football he’ll get for the first half of the season is with the U-23s.

Aarons simply won’t benefit from playing in the club’s youth system as after previously tasting senior football than there’s not much he can learn from applying his trade for the U-23s.

The winger is in the last chance saloon when it comes to trying to convince the Magpies that he is worth investing their time into and he not going to grab their attention by excelling for one of the club’s youth teams.

This means that given a lot of countries’ transfer windows have shut that a Bulgarian club may be his only chance to exit and experience senior football this season.

While the standard of Bulgarian’s top-flight, if it happens to be a club in the country’s highest division, is nowhere near that of the Premier League at least there is a chance he might learn something from his time with the club.

It would be a risky career move for Aarons as if he struggled to deliver the goods in Bulgaria than it’s unlikely that the speedster will be able to convince anyone at St James Park that he is worth keeping upon returning.

However it’s a chance worth taking as he could actually play football that will benefit his development and return a better player for it.
