A large number of Newcastle United supporters have been reacting to Kevin Keegan’s comments about Mike Ashley in his new autobiography ‘My Life in Football‘.
The former Magpies manager claims that he won’t return to Newcastle until Ashley has sold the club, and also said, as quoted by the Sun: “I don’t want to share my oxygen with these people”.
Unsurprisingly Newcastle supporters have backed Keegan, with many of them concurring emphatically with what he had to say.

I still find it hard there is no mention is Keegan in the stadium one of the stand should be named after him. Without him there won’t be no big stadium.

OPINION
No prizes for guessing whose side the Newcastle fans would be on in this one. Keegan is beloved by the Toon Army, while Ashley is definitely not. The way that Keegan has spoken about the current regime at Newcastle tells you how toxic it is. Things have been wrong on Tyneside for a long time now, and it all stems from Ashley’s purchase of the club. The man simply has no interest in running a successful football team, only making a profit. It’s a shame because Newcastle under Keegan in his first spell were one of the most exciting and extraordinary sides in England. Since then Ashley has sucked the life out of the club, and it says it all that Keegan doesn’t even want to be in the same city as the Magpies hierarchy. The former England boss will likely come out with more anti-Ashley tidbits once his book is properly released, and the Newcastle fans will come to adore ‘King Kev’ even more than they already do.
