With reports that Arsenal shareholder Stan Kroenke has bought Alisher Usmanov’s 30% stake in the club, the Russian would make the perfect Newcastle United owner.

As reported by the Financial Times, Kroenke has sealed a £550million deal with the Russian in his mission to get a 100% stake in the London club.

Also, As reported by Guardian journalist David Conn on his official Twitter account, Usmanov is not investing in Everton but does hold a permanent UK residence.

Alisher Usmanov should be the one to buy out Mike Ashley as he would be the perfect owner of the Tyneside club.

Ashley’s tenure at the club has been a complete failure in terms of success and he should sell the club and walk away before he loses the trust of the entire UK public, not just the Newcastle fans.

When the businessman took over the club in 2007, in his first full season the club finished in 12th place in the top-flight. Last season, the club finished tenth in the top division in English football, after being relegated in 2015/16 season.

That is hardly progress, is it? He may have cleared a bit of debt and made the club more financially sound, but that matters little to supporters who want to see money being spent on exciting players and for the club to aim for the higher reaches of the league.

Usmanov could be the man to lead the club to a new and exciting era. The 2014 Sunday Times Rich List named the Russian as the second wealthiest billionaire in the UK, worth a reported £10.65billion. Ashley was also mentioned on the list with a worth of £3.75billion.

That sums up the financial power that Usmanov can provide to St. James Park and now he’s free of the Arsenal regime, he would be the perfect candidate to buy out Ashley.
