The addition of striker Salomon Rondon at Newcastle United will undoubtedly excite many supporters, as will new arrival Yoshinori Muto.

The two forwards up front is a potentially lethal prospect for boss Rafa Benitez, but it must be remembered that Rondon is only on loan for the season.

West Bromwich Albion could possibly want him back when the 2018/2019 campaign concludes, so they must consider a back-up who can also bring the best out of him this term.

Step forward Nottingham Forest forward Ben Brereton, who has been linked to a move to Liverpool by Football Whispers.

He may be only 19-years-old, but the fact he has been linked to the Reds indicates what an up and coming talent he is – and the Magpies must plot a raid for Brereton in order to unleash the new face of Rondon.

The fact that he is young and currently belongs to a Championship club will undoubtedly make him a cheap option for Benitez.

He was a first teamer for Forest in the second tier last season, and as a result of leading the line, he netted six goals in total.

It may not be the most impressive statistic, but it is important to remember that he is only 19.

He does not need to worry about netting a high amount of goals, as his ability to get forward is the only thing needed to get Rondon firing regularly for United.

They are arguably relying on him to deliver the goods that helps them avoid the drop, so Rondon needs to be in the right place at the right time – and Brereton is the player that can ensure that happens.

Defenders will certainly be targeting the Venuzuela international the most in the box, but if the youngster was playing up top with him, he is more than able to draw their attention on him and give Rondon the space to score.

Newcastle must now plot a raid to sign him if they want to get the best out of their new signing.
