Many Newcastle United supporters on social media heavily criticised Kenedy for his display during the 3-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest on Wednesday.
Lots Magpies fans panned the latest performance of the 22-year-old Brazilian winger with one stating that he had been disgraceful this season, while another compared him to teammate Christian Atsu in an unflattering manner.
Kenedy played the full game against Forest during his side’s meeting with them in the League Cup and it was his third outing of the campaign as he missed last weekend’s game against Chelsea due to being on loan from them.

What’s happened to Kenedy? He’s been god awful so far this season. Disgraceful actually

Going on an unfollowing spree here. Supporters ripping the 2 young Geordie kids to bits after one half of football when Kenedy was embarrassing. Who needs enemies when they have some of you for support #NUFC

Kenedy with back-to-back unbelievably bad displays. This will be a big test of his character.
Has got to rediscover his form. #NUFC

I'm hoping that it's due to sleepless night due to new baby and not that he's being ferried up and back to London to see mother and child. His mind is definitely elsewhere

OPINION
Kenedy uncharacteristically had a shocker against Cardiff and apparently he wants to start making those sort of performances a habit. When on loan at the Magpies for the second half of last season the Brazilian, who earns £25,000-a-week (Source: Spotrac), hardly put a foot wrong and constantly impressed supporters. However after securing another temporary spell at St James Park for his 2018/19 campaign, so far he has been a disappointment. As one fan rightly questioned what has happened to the Kenedy who excelled at the Magpies last season as the the version supporters are seeing so far doesn’t look good enough to lace his boots. While a few fans claim that his mind might be elsewhere due to various reason, it might just be he has hit a bad run of form as he is only 22-years-old and still learning the game after all. Hopefully whatever is causing Kenedy to struggle is sorted shortly as the Magpies need him at their best.
