This is a game-changing signing for The Magpies. The Brazilian is a top talent with tremendous ability and the club have done very well indeed to secure his signing, the club’s fans really wanted him back and they’ve got their wish.
The 22-year-old is a matchwinner who can push the Toon to new heights this season, as he made such an impact in the second-half of last season, just imagine what he can do in a full season at St. James Park.
This signing should signal a chance in Rafa Benitez’s thinking, with a player like Kenedy in his side he can hurt any team in the Premier League.
Benitez’s side did well to finish in the top-ten of the Premier League last season but often had to defend and camp in their own half as they didn’t have players who could hurt the opposition in open play.
When the Brazilian winger arrived on loan last season, it changed the mentality of the team and they were more aggressive when going forward.
With the midfield duo of Jonjo Shelvey and new signing Ki Sung-yeung, they will be able to keep the ball a bit more and take the game to their opposition, with Kenedy capable of making a decisive cross or shot that could decide a game.
Newcastle have made a big statement with this signing, if they could sign a few more players that are on Benitez’s wishlist, they could be a very dangerous team next season and should be able to aim a lot higher than simply surviving in the Premier League.
