Newcastle United fans are patiently waiting for the club’s summer transfer business to ignite and will be drawing up their own list of potential targets.

One man that they should consider if Daniel Wass from La Liga club Celta Vigo amid reported interest in his signature.

Spanish news outlet Marca claims that both Everton and Roma are eyeing up moves for him this summer, with his current deal with Vigo expiring in 2019.

However, Newcastle need to at some point lay down a marker this summer and joining the race for his signature would be a smart move.

Wass is a creator that usually plays as a central midfielder, but has the versatility to fill in at several positions.

The 29-year-old Dane impressed in La Liga in the recent season, scoring four goals and supplying nine assists in 35 league appearances.

His extra creativity is exactly what supporters are crying out for going into next year and he could light up St James’ Park if he hits the ground running in the opening games.
