A section of Newcastle United fans on social media delivered their verdict on Aleksandar Mitrovic’s latest display for Serbia.
The 23-year-old powerhouse missed a few chances during his side’s 2-0 defeat to Brazil at the World Cup on Wednesday and some Magpies supporters weren’t impressed with his display.
One fan took to Twitter to reveal that they thought his latest outing showed exactly why Rafa Benitez wanted to get rid of him, while another supporter labelled the forward’s performance awful.

OPINION
This is a very harsh assessment by Magpies supporters on Mitrovic’s latest display as he did everything he could to try and help his side overcome the mighty Brazil. While the forward should have at least done better with one of the opportunities that fell at his feet, it was hardly an awful performance. However unfortunately for Mitrovic the loss to Brazil meant that his side would be going home as their failure to beat the South American nation was enough to cause their elimination from the World Cup. It seems based on this section of Magpies supporters the club should be aiming to get Mitrovic off their books as soon as he arrives back in England by selling him this summer.
