The fixture list for the 2018/19 Premier League season has been released on Thursday, and Newcastle United fans have taken to Twitter to react to their upcoming campaign.

The Magpies will open their campaign at home against Tottenham in a repeat of last season’s opening game, which they went on to lose 2-0.

Their second fixture sees them travel to Wales to face newly-promoted Cardiff City in their first away game of the campaign, before a home game against Chelsea follows.

That match against the Blues sparks an extremely difficult run for the Toon as they face champions Manchester City at the Etihad before welcoming Arsenal to St. James’ Park after the early international break.

In terms of late season fixtures, the Magpies will face Brighton away, Liverpool at home and then Fulham away in their final three matches of the term.

Favourable periods of the upcoming campaign looking to be late October-December, with a promising run of games greeting the Magpies in February and March.

Newcastle fans have now taken to Twitter to react to the fixture list, with many up in arms over their tough start to the season which sees them face four of last season’s top six in their first five games.

Nothing but Newcastle have rounded up some of the best tweets:
