Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez is looking to bring in two new players after midfielder Ki Sung-Yueng became his second signing of the summer on Friday, according to the Telegraph.

The newspaper claims that Chelsea’s Kenedy and Red Bull Salzburg’s Valon Berisha are the two attacker that are on the Magpies radar.

It is understood that to land the duo it is going to cost the Toon at least £35million, a large chunk of this summer’s transfer kitty, but could make up cash from the potential sales of players such as Aleksandar Mitrovic, Dwight Gayle and Matt Ritchie.

Newcastle desperately need to add some firepower to their attack ahead of the new season, something that Kenedy and Berisha will certainly do. Magpies supporters quickly made Kenedy a firm favourite last season, as he tore it up during a loan spell at St James’ Park on the flank. The dazzling left-winger proved to be a catalyst in their survival bid in the Premier League and there is no doubt the 22-year-old can go from strength to strength if he joins on a permanent basis. Kenedy is a technically gifted Brazilian with massive potential and is the type of marquee signing supporters are longing for. Meanwhile, Berisha is another that has been on the Newcastle radar and has just enjoyed a stunning campaign with Austrian outfit RB Salzburg. He scored 13 goals and supplied 11 assists in 45 appearances across all competitions, which included five goals during his side’s run to the Europa League semi-finals. The 25-year-old can play in a variety of attacking positions and is another that would improve Benitez’s options.
