Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez could reportedly consider a move for Liverpool’s Harry Wilson in the summer and the club need to speed up the process with a direct swoop now.

The Chronicle reports that the Magpies boss could “take a chance” on the 21-year-old and attempt a loan swoop for him in the 2018/19 campaign.

However, the Wales international is an extremely attractive proposition after tearing it up in the Championship with Hull City and Newcastle need to get Reds manager Jurgen Klopp straight on the phone to arrange a deal.

The summer transfer window opened on Thursday and it would be a real statement if Benitez’s side could wrap up an early deal to encourage supporters.

Newcastle have seen how effective the loan system is through the shape of Martin Dubravka and Kenedy, which is why it is a no-brainer they try to bring Liverpool’s young sensation to St James’ Park.

Wilson spent the second half of this season in England’s second-tier with strugglers Hull and proved his worth with a brilliant spell.

The versatile attacker, who can play on either wing or a number 10 role, became a mainstay in Hull’s starting XI to help them avoid relegation.

He made a total of 14 appearances for the Tigers, scoring seven goals and supplying four assists in return.

There is no doubt Wilson is ready to grace the Premier League with his talent next year and the fleet-footed attacker would add a real injection of quality in the final third for Newcastle.

He is a technically gifted player that is good off both feet and the playmaker is definitely worth the punt for Benitez.
