Newcastle United saw first hand this season how effective the loan system can be and Chelsea winger Kenedy was a sensation when he joined in January for the second half of the campaign.

The Brazilian trickster helped keep the Magpies with his influence in the final third and has now returned to Stamford Bridge.

Rafael Benitez’s side should plot a similar move this summer by contacting Chelsea to try take their youngster Charly Musonda on loan.

The 21-year-old returned to the Blues early recently from his stint on loan with Scottish champions Celtic and Newcastle should give the opportunity to showcase his talents in England.

Musonda is a Belgian playmaker renowned for his blistering pace and can play anywhere across the frontline.

Benitez would be the perfect mentor to get the best out of the pocket-sized attacker and a loan switch int he 2018/19 campaign would be sensible for all parties involved.

Newcastle definitely need to strengthen several areas of the pitch ahead of next season and must avoid a repeat of this season, where they struggled in front of goal and were not a free-flowing side.

Musonda could play an important for the Magpies if he hits the ground running and he has been extremely highly-rated at Chelsea for recent years, but has not quite hit his potential yet.

Kenedy managed to reach new levels following his loan arrival and Newcastle could definitely benefit from another technically gifted youngster on the books with Premier League rivals Chelsea.
