Newcastle are showing interest in signing Middlesbrough winger Adama Traore, according to the Yorkshire Post.

The regional newspaper report that Boro are now likely to entertain bids for the jet-heeled powerhouse, with the club rating the 22-year-old at around £15million.

The Yorkshire Post claim that are the latest club to join the hunt for the Spanish winger, who is highly-coveted following an impressive season.

Good move for Newcastle United?

Yes.

Traore had a massively productive season with Middlesbrough, scoring five goals and providing 12 assists in all competitions as Tony Pulis’ side reached the play-off semis.

The young Spaniard has looked ready for a step up in competition for a while now, and Newcastle could really do with his blistering pace going forward.

£15million seems like a very reasonable price as well, and this looks like a no-brainer for the Magpies.

Nothing but Newcastle rating: 8/10

Likely to happen?

Traore will be in high demand this summer after his impressive season, and Newcastle will do well to secure his signature.

You would think that the 22-year-old is seeking a move to the Premier League, and if he is then would surely be an attractive option for him.

The club would offer him guaranteed game time, while also giving him the chance to work alongside fellow Spaniard Benitez.
