Newcastle United fans have taken to Twitter to give the thumbs-up after a Sky journalist claimed the club are close to signing Martin Dubravka on a permanent deal.
The television network’s correspondent Pete Graves reported on his personal Twitter account that “it’s just a matter of time” until Newcastle seal the capture of the goalkeeper.
Led to believe it’s just a matter of time until #nufc seal Dubravka on a permanent. Both sides keen to complete the deal. https://t.co/HHKTgE6Jfr

Dubravka joined Newcastle during the January transfer window on an initial loan and widespread reports claim the Premier League club have an option to buy the Slovakia international for £4million this summer from Sparta Prague.
The 6ft 3in (source: Transfermarkt) keeper made a huge impact in the second half of the recent domestic season and established himself as a firm favourite with supporters.
Dubravka made 12 Premier League appearance and conceded just 11 goals, while also delivered a number of man-of-the-match performances.
Amid reports that Newcastle are close to selling Matz Sels to Anderlecht on a permanent deal after a year on loan at the Belgian outfit, the Toon faithful are keen for the club to secure a full-time keeper.

Is Sels going out the likely holdup?

I think once Sels goes then they’ll confirm Dubravka, that’s been the way they’ve done it in recent windows anyway
