Newcastle United are set for a wealth of changes this summer and one defender has revealed he will be one of those leaving St. James’ Park.

After an injury-plagued six years on Tyneside, 24-year-old defender Curtis Good has told Fox Sports Australia that he will be leaving upon the expiration of his contract this summer.

“I definitely will be moving on. It’ll be good for a change, obviously getting back to playing senior football is the biggest thing for me, the next step.”

“I definitely want to stay in the UK. I want to give it another crack at the highest level. I feel like I had a great opportunity that was upset with my situation. It’ll be nice to go trial somewhere if the opportunity comes up.”

“The biggest thing is people seeing that you can play, and I’ve played over 20 games this season. I’d like to come home, but maybe when I’m older.”

Signed from Melbourne Heart in 2012, the one-cap Australia international but has failed to earn a single league appearance at the club.
