Newcastle United are set for a busy summer, as the Magpies will be preparing for what will hopefully be a second campaign back in the Premier League.

Rafael Benitez’s side sit four points above the relegation zone with seven matches to go and know that just a few more victories will secure the club’s top-flight status for another year, allowing Benitez to shift his attention towards summer business.

One man linked with a move to St. James’ Park is former Arsenal midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup, who is poised to be available on a free transfer this summer when his contract with Besiktas comes to an end- and Newcastle are already reported to have made contact.

However, the Magpies could face a stern fight in the market as Italian outlet Calcio Mercato state that both AC Milan and Lazio are also keen to bring the Turkish international to their clubs this summer.

25-year-old Ozyakup is said to have been scouted a number of times by Newcastle this summer but they face a stern challenge to land his signature.
