Newcastle United sit four points above the relegation zone heading into the Premier League run-in and know they have work to do after the international break.

The Magpies still have to face Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea before the end of the campaign in matches where they’ll not be expected to secure anything, which raises the importance of the winnable games on the schedule.

One of those comes immediately after the quota of international fixtures in the form of Huddersfield Town, who currently sit just a single point behind the Magpies, and Rafael Benitez has issued a significant injury boost ahead of the clash with the Terriers.

Speaking to The Evening Chroniclethe Spaniard confirmed that Karl Darlow is expected to be available for the clash after an injury lay-off.

“We think so. He has a little discomfort in his shoulder. We have to be careful with him – that’s it.”

Whilst the 27-year-old is currently behind loanee Martin Dubravka in the club’s pecking order, it issues Newcastle with depth in an area currently ravaged by injury issues.
