Galatasaray winger Garry Rodrigues has suggested that it will take a bid of €15 million for Newcastle to sign him this summer.

Reports in the Turkish press last week claimed that Newcastle had seen two bids for Cape Verde international Rodrigues turned down by the Istanbul giants, one last summer and the latest in January.

The Dutch-born attacker has reportedly caught the eye of Magpies boss Rafa Benitez and impressed for Galatasaray once again, this time in the 2-1 defeat to Kasimpasa in which he scored a contender for goal of the season to give his side 1-0 lead in the first-half.

After the game, Rodrigues was questioned about a possible transfer for Newcastle and responded by setting down the price the Magpies must pay to obtain his signature.

“I will not go for less than €15m,” Turkish Football report the 27-year-old as saying to media outlet Fotomac.

Benitez is believed to have scouts monitoring Rodridgues ahead of a possible summer swoop and the United boss will undoubtedly be pleased to learn that the winger is seemingly keen on a move to St James’ Park.
