Newcastle United have endured a difficult season in their return to the Premier League but there’s signs of better times right around the corner.

Rafael Benitez’s side have struggled to find form in the top-flight this season and the Spaniard has become frustrated with his side’s lack of movement in the January transfer window, as he seeks significant additions to his side.

Thankfully, it seems his hard work is about to pay off as The Telegraph states that Newcastle are increasingly confident of signing Brazilian winger Kenedy on-loan from defending Premier League champions Chelsea.

Kenedy has been a prime target for Newcastle throughout the January transfer window and have overcome Antonio Conte’s reluctance to allow the South American an exit, due to a lack of depth within the Blues’ squad.

The 21-year-old has enjoyed openings in the Chelsea first-team over the course of recent weeks but Newcastle are keen to conclude a deal and are optimistic that an agreement can be finalised.
