Newcastle United striker Alexandar Mitrovic has emerged as a target for relegation rivals West Bromwich Albion, reports Sports Mole.
After having not started a Premier League game all season, a number of top flight clubs including Brighton and West Ham have been heavily linked with a move for Mitrovic, and now West Brom are the latest to join the growing list of the 23-year-old’s potential suitors.
Baggies manager Alan Pardew, formerly boss of Newcastle between 2010 and 2014, is reportedly keen on bringing Mitrovic to The Hawthorns as he looks to bring in firepower to navigate his side away from the Premier League’s relegation zones.
Fans have been left frustrated at Mitrovic’s lack of playing time, given that both first choice strikers Dwight Gayle and Joselu have managed to find the net only six times between them all season, scoring three a piece.
And selling him to a relegation rival – Newcastle and West Brom are separated by only one points in 18th and 19th places – would add further insult to injury.
The toon army aren’t pleased …

We would be absolutely mental to sell him to a rival like that. He will get goals and pull a team out of the bottom. If this happenes we’re utter mugs! #NUFC
