Struggling Newcastle United striker Joselu says the current situation at the club is ‘not good’, but insists the team remain together in what’s a difficult time for all those involved with the club.

The Magpies have had an awful two months, losing eight of their last nine top flight games – a run of form that has seen them slip from 4th to 18th in the Premier League table and only three points above bottom placed Swansea.

Spaniard Joselu has too had a difficult time since his summer move to Tyneside, finding the net only three times in 17 appearances, but the 27-year-old remains hopeful things can change, starting at West Ham this weekend.

“It is very, very important. We need to take the three points we need to win,” he said speaking on the Magpies upcoming trip to the London Stadium.

“We know that it is difficult because the situation is not good.

“The team, the club staff the we are all together. We keep fighting for the three points.”
