Newcastle United have reportedly offered Premier League rivals West Ham United the chance to sign out-of-favour striker Alexander Mitrovic this January.

The Serbian has yet to start a top flight game for Rafael Benitez’s side this season, and the forward himself has been vocal of his desire for first team football – even if it be away from St James Park.

A host of clubs have stated their interest in the Serbia international, including former club Anderlecht and Brighton, however it now appears his next destination could be London and David Moyes’ West Ham, reports Sports Mole.

The Hammers have had a difficult start to the season – much like Newcastle – and manager Moyes is desperate to bolster his attacking options after the New Year in order to ensure his club’s Premier League survival.

The Hammers had been relying on injured duo Andy Carroll and Javier Hernandez in the striking department, with just 14 goals being scored in the Hammers’ first 16 top-flight matches.
