Aston Villa and Crystal Palace are two of just a number of club’s interested in signing Newcastle United youngster Rolando Aarons, reports The Mirror.

Aarons, 22, has struggled for playing time at St James Park this season, making only two starts in all competitions all season.

The youngster however has impressed in recent cameos, notably against West Brom where he made an big impact coming from the substitutes bench, helping his side claw back a 2-0 deficit at the Hawthorns.

With game time still limited however, the Englishman could be set to leave St James Park as soon as January, with a number of clubs looking to steal him away from Tyneside on a bargain price.

As well as Villa and Palace, Premier League new boys Huddersfield Town are also thought to be eyeing Aarons as they look to bolster their attacking options going into the second half of the season.

Aarons, born in Jamaica, predominantly plays as a winger however has also been utilised as a full-back on either flank during his career with the Magpies.
