Newcastle United have performed admirably in their return to the Premier League this season but there is still a fair amount of work to be done, as shown by the back-to-back 1-0 defeats against Burnley and Bournemouth.
The Magpies have struggled to find consistency in front of goal, scoring just ten in eleven games and seeing their top goal-scorers Joselu and Jamaal Lascelles tied with just two, and it’s becoming an increasingly bigger issue for the club.
In the weekend’s defeat to Bournemouth, Rafael Benitez opted to start both Joselu and Dwight Gayle but neither could solve Newcastle’s issues. Amidst it all, Serbian striker Aleksander Mitrovic continues to be overlooked.
Fans aren’t happy that the striker isn’t getting his chances and they’ve resorted to asking their captain Lascelles on Twitter to speak to Benitez and get Mitrovic back in the side, as they clearly believe he can solve their issues.
