Porto forward Vincent Aboubakar has ended speculation over his future after penning a new long term deal with his current club, reports TalkSPORT.

The Cameroon international had been linked with a move away from the Portuguese side after having spent the previous season on loan with Turkish side Besiktas.

However, after a brilliant start to the new campaign having found the net 11 times in all competitions already, Aboubakar has put pen to paper to commit his long term future to the club.

His new deal will now keep him at Porto until 2021 and has a reported £50 million release clause.

Newcastle United were reported to be extremely interested in the Cameroonian following his loan spell in Turkey, as too were Ligue 1 side Marseille, however both will now have to turn their attentions elsewhere.

The Magpies are now likely to focus their attention on Aboubakar’s former Besiktas team-mate Cenk Tosun, who is believed to be available for around €20 million.
