Newcastle are set for a three way battle this January for La Liga striker Cedric Bakambu, with West Brom and West Ham also interested in the DR Congo international.

The striker, who was heavily linked with a move to England during the summer, has enjoyed a terrific start to the season, finding the net eight times in the Spanish top division, a tally bettered only by Lionel Messi and former West Ham striker Simeone Zaza, now of Valencia.

His form has been a major factor in Villarreal’s solid start to the season, with the Yellow Submarine currently sitting fifth in La Liga.

They however, may have a job to hold onto their prized asset in January, with Premier League club’s now circling.

Newcastle, West Ham and West Brom all want to add Bakambu to their ranks after the New Year reports Marca (via TalkSPORT), however all would be looking at paying in excess of £20 million for his services should they wish to lure him to the Premier League.
