Newcastle United and Everton are eyeing up a move for Leeds United youngster Mallik Wilks after the winger’s impressive start to the season, reports Football Insider.

Wilks has spent the early part of the campaign on-loan with League Two side Accrington Stanley, and has scored 3 goals in 15 appearances.

Stanley currently sit 2nd in the League Two table, and most recently beat League One’s Wigan 4-0 in the EFL Cup.

Wilks, 18, came through the academy at Leeds and made his senior debut earlier in the year against Sutton in the FA Cup before being shipped out on-loan during the summer. The teenager only recently signed a new four-year-deal with the club, keeping him at Elland Road until 2019.

However with Premier League clubs circling, Leeds could be willing to part ways with the youngster.

Garry Monk, now manager of Middlesbrough, is also thought to keen on Wilks having been impressed with him during his time as manager of Leeds.
