Newcastle United are sending scouts to watch prolific KV Mechelen winger Hassane Bande in action tonight ahead of a potential move for the teenager this January, reports The Mag.

Bande, who turned 19 at the end of last month, will face off Charleroi tonight in the Belgian Pro League, with scouts from a number of clubs, including Newcastle, expected to be present to watch the exciting young star.

The Burkina Faso born star has had a terrific start to the new season for Mechelen, and is currently the division’s top scorer with 8 goals.

To make this figures all the more impressive, the winger come striker has started only only seven games this season, and making all the rest of his 11 appearances in all competitions from the bench.

Bande’s form has not gone un-noticed, with the teenage sensation earning his first international call-up, going on to make his Burkina Faso debut in a 4-0 World Cup qualifying win over Cape Verde.
