La Liga side Real Betis are set to beat Newcastle to the signing of Jack Wilshere as the Spanish side prepare a shock loan move for the Arsenal midfielder, reports Team Talk.
Wilshere is yet to be offered a new contract at the Emirates despite making his way back into Arsene Wenger’s first team plans, and is out of contract next summer, meaning Wenger may allow him to leave the club this January to avoid losing him on a free transfer come the end of the season.
The Englishman has been heavily linked to a number of Premier League clubs, including West Ham and Newcastle, however could now be on his way to Spain if reports are to be believed.
Wilshere is thought to be keen on the move as he looks to revitalise his career away from England and help his cause for a place in Gareth Southgate’s national side for the World Cup next summer in Russia.
