Newcastle United have encountered no problems finding their feet in the Premier League this season, with the Magpies flying high in the standings and looking on-course to achieve their pre-season target of avoiding relegation.
Whilst the club in general performs admirably, certain players have found it difficult to find their feet in the top-flight and one of those is Jacob Murphy, who became Newcastle’s most expensive signing of the summer following his £12m switch from Norwich City.
The 22-year-old has struggled to earn regular opportunities, with his latest appearance being an 11-minute cameo off the bench in the 1-0 defeat to Burnley on Monday night, and it’s left fans of his former club questioning his move.
Whilst some mocked him for the transfer, suggesting he only had money on his mind, others are more sympathetic towards a young player who’s moved hundred of miles away from his home and left his twin brother behind.
No Jacob Murphy in the starting XI for Newcastle once again. Wonder if he's regretting moving in the summer yet… https://t.co/YUGCuxRJ5a

Quite sad to see Jacob struggling like this. Looks like he's had the confidence sucked out of him 😞 #ncfc #nufc

Still seeing a lot of people mocking Jacob Murphy for not starting for Newcastle again? Who (including himself) expected him too tho? #ncfc
