The agent of Juventus star Stefano Sturaro has labelled any talk of a potential switch to Newcastle United after the New Year as ‘premature’.

The 24-year-old midfielder has struggled for regular game time at the Italian champions this season, making only 4 starts in all competitions, leading to rumours he could be on his way out of Serie A in January.

The Magpies are on of a host of clubs reported to be interested in the €20 million rated star, however Sturaro’s agent Stefano Volpi says any such rumours of the player leaving Italy are false.

“It is a pleasure for Stefano to be sought after by Italy and abroad at every market session. In Premier, for example, attentions always come from teams like Everton and Newcastle ,” he said speaking with media outlet Ilbianconero. “But honestly, everything is very premature, he is thinking of continue to do well to Juventus.

“And to do so, he wants to enter the third year of real membership of this club that brings you from being young to no longer be. His great peculiarity is not to suffer the competition, he tends to consider all of them as comrades and always try to give the most when he is employed.”
