The only Bournemouth player to score more than one Premier League goal this season, the veteran midfielder has shown the sort of leadership that the Cherries need if they’re to drag themselves out of the mud in the coming months.
Now 31, Surman has played nine matches for the Cherries and will continue to be a mainstay in Eddie Howe’s side. If he manages to find room, Surman can make Newcastle pay and it’s something they need to be extremely careful of.
