Newcastle United are among five teams watching FC Martigues forward Nordine Ibouroi, according to the Sun.

The 19 year old has been in good form for the French fourth division side, and many are tipping the teenager for bigger and better things. As well as the Magpies, Stoke City, Ligue One side Saint-Etienne, Ligue Two side Niort and German club FC Cologne have all reportedly sent scouts to watch Ibouroi.

Some of his more displays have been doing the rounds on social media, and it seems Newcastle and other teams are sending representatives to see the Frenchman in person to see if he lives up to the hype.

Ibouroi was born on an obscure island off the coast of Africa, Comoros, and he has already been called up to play at international level for his homeland. He does however have a French passport so he can play in Europe with no work permit requirements.

So far, the forward has scored just one goal in his first seven games this season; a stunning long range effort in Martigues’ 1-0 owin ver Monaco II back in September.
