33-year-old Spanish goalkeeper Miguel Angel Moya has struggled to get game-time following his move to Atletico Madrid in 2014, mostly due to the rise of first-choice stopper Jan Oblak. With his contract set to expire next summer, an exit is likely.
With his experience, Moya would be a superb addition to the Newcastle United squad and compatriot Rafael Benitez should be able to get the best out of him. Whilst he’s not a long-term solution, it would allow young Freddie Woodman the chance to develop further before taking the first-team mantle.
