Newcastle United have looked strong in their return to the Premier League but there’s still a number of challenges ahead of the Magpies if they’re to become a stable top-flight outfit again.
Rafael Benitez has overseen considerable improvements at the club and there’s a new sense of optimism at the club, particularly amidst the takeover talks that have followed since Mike Ashley officially put the club up for sale.
That talk has sparked plenty of discussion about potential transfer targets, with fans getting excited about who they could bring in during the January transfer window and beyond, but Newcastle can’t afford to forget their roots- which Benitez is sure to ensure doesn’t happen.
This season, a number of young talents have been regularly training with the first-team and these three players in particular are considered to be on the verge of a call-up, as they’re impressing Benitez and making their mark.
