Newcastle United are back in the Premier League but it’s difficult not to wonder where the Magpies would have been if they retained the services of some players who have gone on to become stars in the top-flight of English football.
Whilst the likes of Georginio Wijnaldum, who joined Liverpool, left after relegation from the Premier League, which meant the Magpies had little chance of retaining his services, other decisions have been made that certainly raise eyebrows.
