Whilst Rafael Benitez remains as a fan of Paul Dummett, the 26-year-old former Wales international is certainly a player that can be improved upon and the Spanish boss seems intent on bolstering in this area come January.
In modern football, full-backs are increasingly important and Benitez will be looking for a player that can provide improvement at both ends of the field, as he looks to strengthen his defensive line but also improve productivity in the final third.
